09:00 : Welcome addresses. Opening of the 29th session of the European forestry Commission's working Party on the management of mountain watersheds.

10:00 : Report on inter-sessional activities following the 28th Session of the Working Party.

10:30 : Coffee break and press conference.

11:00 : Beginning of the seminar : Technical presentations on the topic of "natural disaster risk management in mountain areas". 

13:00 - 14:00 : Lunch break.

14:15 – 17:15 : Seminar continues (more details will follow).

17:30 : Guided visit of the fortified old city of Briançon.

20:30 : Dinner at the Hotel Anova.

• Implementing the new modus operandi and governance of the WP MMW.
• Presence of the WP at the 37th session of the EFC;  Election of officers of the WP; Date and place of the 30th session
• Closure of the 29h Session of the EFC Working Party.

Evening : Conference dinner

Study Tour to observe in situ techniques for natural hazard control in mountain areas.

08:00 : Departure by bus

• First stop in Italy  (a few kilometres from the hotel) to visit wooden torrential correction dams  (Franco/italian Interreg project).
• Various stops in the Guisane Valley to see techniques for natural hazard control (torrents, avalanches) , long term management of mountainous forests to ensure protective effects, natural hazard mapping.
• A cold lunch pack will  be provided by the hotel for this trip
